Accounting Advisor / Virtual CFO
Marietta Tower brings extensive accounting experience to PBA clients, helping them navigate and overcome their financial and business challenges. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from USC, holds a Client Accounting Advisory Services certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and is a certified Sage Intacct Accounting Specialist.
For 8 years, Marietta worked at Ernst & Young in the audit and tax departments, ending her tenure as a tax manager. She joined PBA in 2011 for the opportunity to work hands-on with clients and build ongoing relationships, becoming a dedicated partner to their success beyond accounting.
Many businesses who come to PBA have struggled with their systems and processes for several years. Helping them make meaningful, manageable improvements is where Marietta shines. Cleaning up their books, providing checklists to keep them on track, implementing internal controls and making sure mistakes are not repeated are just a few things clients praise her for, as well as her attention to detail. Marietta is an excellent communicator and believes in the value of documentation, often contributing to PBA’s internal policies. She is proud to call her co-workers her best friends and cherishes the support and collaboration of her PBA family.
Marietta and her husband, Michael, have been married for 26 years and have three children. She loves baking, going to the theatre, and traveling to Hawaii, her favorite place in the world. Marietta also loves dogs and volunteers once a week at the Humane Society.
“The most wonderful thing about PBA is the relationships with our clients. Even through growth, we haven’t lost the human touch. Our clients are our friends. We know where their kids are going to college and invest in them personally.”
